Custom Default language in accepting payments overseas
Hello team, could we change the default language in checkout loadTossPayments, currently it's showing English as default, and the user has to change it manually.

Yes, we’ve just recently started the integration and are still in the initial release phase.
We are using the JavaScript v2 SDK: @tosspayments/tosspayments-sdk

Is it correct that Toss Payments currently uses English as the default language for overseas payment windows, and that users must manually change the language if they prefer a different one? I would appreciate clarification on how language defaults and switching work for international payments.

No, there is actually a way to set the default language — I’ll share the guide with you in a moment.

Use the v1 SDK (International Payment Window) — it’s functionally very close to v2, so it’s fine to use.
Keep all other parameters the same, and add the language parameter when calling requestPayment:
language: EN | JA | ZH (English, Japanese, Chinese)

Are you planning to add a customizable default language option in v2?
If so, could you share the expected timeline for when this feature will be supported?
We currently need to process payments in Japan, and having the checkout page displayed in Japanese is very important for our users. We would prefer to rely on the stable, actively maintained version of the checkout widget (v2), so language customization would be a valuable feature for us.

Yes, we want to accept credit card payments, these ones look good for now.
This isn’t actually the payment widget, so I think it should be fine to follow the guide I gave you — do you think there might be any issues?
We followed the guide you shared, but adding language = "JA" in v1 didn’t work on our side.
Additionally, I’d like to check whether you’re planning to add a default-language option to v2. If so, when do you expect to support it?
