해외 고객이 Paypal 결제 시도를 할 경우 아래와 같이 에러메세지가 발생합니다.
'REQUIRED_POSTAL_CODE&message=The specified country requires a postal code.&orderId=50513e8f39104ed9a5d28198a7c6133e&paymentKey=The specified country requires a postal code.'
저희는 서비스 제공업체여서 address filed 를 사용하지 않는데 이와 같은 메세지가 왜 뜨는지 찾을수가 없습니다..

페이팔 이용을 위해서는 주소 정보를 받으셔야 합니다.
없다면 그냥 하이픈만 남겨주셔도 되나 추후 분쟁이 발생할 경우 해명할 수 있는 고객 정보 자료가 충분히 있으셔야 합니다

You may need to add shipping address parameters but you can just send -(dashes)

Yes but this situation is special and some other companies send dashes and 00000 for postal code
저희는 서비스를 제공하는 업체여서 별도의 주소를 수집하지 않고 있습니다. 이 경우에도 Ayaan님께서 전달해주신대로 fake information을 넣으면 안되는 건가요? 아니면 저희가 paypal처리를 위해 고객 정보를 받아야 하는건가요?

then please do not send the data via request.
those are optional one.

postal code는 option정보로 알고 있는데 관련 에러가 발생합니다..

Hi @유부장 , we did not send invalid information. we just didn't send shipping information. Before last weekend all transaction worked fine. But from last weekend, our customers can not complete the purchase via paypal. And we got the error code from toss like 'code=REQUIRED_POSTAL_CODE&message=The specified country requires a postal code.&orderId=50513e8f39104ed9a5d28198a7c6133e&paymentKey=The specified country requires a postal code.
I got the point, please allow me some time for it.
I have checked transaction, and found that the transaction has been occurred from US.
Based on Paypal policy, postal code is optional one, but some countries are not.
US is one of them. Paypal transaction from some contries (ex US) requires postal code as mandatory one.
We will update our docs for your reference.

And does paypay have 'no shipping need' option?
As I checked, your successful transaction did not send "shipping" object, and failed transaction also same.

I have checked internally.
You can ignore "shipping" object for your service product.
* Your current parameter set then fine.
We will enhance our validation to ignore unnecessary value to Paypal.
Please use your spec as is, issue will not be happen again.
There is changes regulation spec between Tosspayments and Paypal, and we have done the hotfix to cover the issue that mentioned here.

Hello, May I know which PayPal Product is supported via Toss Payments? Is PayPal Website Payment Standard or PayPal Express Checkout?
