Is the Toss Payments Widget available for both Korean and Chinese users in a Bubble application?
Hi Toss Payments team,
I would like to clarify how currency is handled in the Toss Payments Widget.
We are building an application where users can top up money and receive Points, which are then used to purchase products in the app.
Our current business rule is:
1 Point = 1 KRW Users choose a top-up option such as 100 Point, 500 Point, or 1000 Point
The issue is that our app may be used by both Korean users and Chinese users.
In the Toss Payments Widget, the payment request seems to require only an amount value, and I do not see a separate currency field in the widget input.
Because of this, I would like to confirm:
When using Toss Payments in China, what currency is actually charged? If we send amount = 1000, is that always treated as 1000 KRW, or could it be interpreted as 1000 CNY depending on the user’s location? Does Toss Payments support charging different currencies for the same integration, or is the currency fixed by merchant/account configuration? If we want Korean users to pay in KRW and Chinese users to pay in CNY, is Toss Payments the right solution for this use case?
This is important for us because if amount = 1000 is interpreted differently by country, the Point conversion logic would become inconsistent.
Thank you.
